ALL MODELSWhat is an inflatable pipe test plug?▼
An inflatable plug purpose-built for tightness testing: it seals the pipe section so an air or water pressure test can run against it. Bypass versions carry a through-pipe for filling, venting and measuring during the test.
Test plug or pipe stopper - which one do I need?▼
A pipe stopper blocks the line so you can work on it; a test plug seals it so you can test it. If your job ends with a pressure test on drains or sewers, choose the test plug series - the bypass core and accessories are made for that workflow.
How does an air test through a bypass plug work?▼
Plug both ends of the section, connect the air test adapter and hose to the bypass core, pressurise to the test level, and watch the gauge - a stable reading passes, a drop reveals a leak. Plugline test adapters, hoses with manometer and discharge floats are in the Accessories category.
What sizes do the standard Inflatable Pipe Test Plugs cover?▼
From 35 mm up to 2800 mm at 1.5/2.5 bar working pressure and 0.5/1 bar back pressure - the widest span of the test plug range. The model table is on the product page.
What does the Multi-Size Metal Core Test Plug do?▼
One plug seals a whole range of diameters (70-1200 mm) and its steel core carries a through-pipe, so filling and venting happen through the plug during the test. Working pressure 1.5 bar.
What are Medium Size Test Plugs for?▼
The municipal mid-band, DN50-DN600, at 2.5/3.0 bar working pressure - compact plugs for everyday sewer acceptance tests.
What are Small Test Plugs used for?▼
Drains, laterals and house connections from 30 to 1000 mm at 2.5 bar - they pass tight access points and set up in seconds for quick tightness checks.
What is a Pillow Test Plug?▼
A flat-folding plug for large and non-circular sections: it enters through small openings and inflates at 0.5-1.0 bar to seal 600-2800 mm profiles for testing.
