Description & features

Plugline Inflatable Medium Pipe Test Plugs are high-performance tools engineered for the efficient sealing and validation of mid-range pipelines. Combining high-quality rubber with corrosion-resistant metal components, these plugs provide a rugged yet lightweight solution for demanding field conditions. Whether used in plumbing, municipal sewage, or industrial sectors, they deliver a reliable, airtight seal for critical maintenance and repair tasks.

Key Features

  • Premium Material Build: Constructed from heavy-duty, reinforced rubber and corrosion-resistant hardware to ensure maximum longevity and chemical resistance.
  • Reinforced rubber construction: size range DN50 — DN600, working pressure 2,5 / 3,0 bar, back pressure 0,5 bar, operating temperature −40 to 70 °C, Quick Coupling / Schrader air connection.
  • Integrated Eyebolt Handle: Features a heavy-duty eyebolt for secure handling, easy tethering, and effortless manipulation within manholes or confined spaces.
  • Lightweight Engineering: Optimized for portability and ease of use, allowing for quick installation and removal by a single operator.
  • Dual-Medium Testing: Fully compatible with both air and water testing protocols to meet various industry leakage standards.
  • Flexible Expansion: The inflatable design ensures a tight, high-friction grip that adapts to internal pipe irregularities.

Advantages

  • Operational Efficiency: The lightweight design and simple inflation process significantly reduce labor time and setup costs.
  • Industrial Durability: Engineered to withstand harsh environmental conditions, including high back-pressure and exposure to waste materials.
  • Cost-Effective Versatility: A multi-application tool that serves as a reliable asset across residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
  • Enhanced Safety: Provides a secure physical barrier to isolate pipeline sections, protecting both the infrastructure and the workforce during repairs.

Application Areas

  • Municipal Sewage Engineering: Essential for the maintenance, isolation, and leak testing of sewage and drainage networks.
  • Commercial & Residential Plumbing: Ideal for large-scale plumbing systems requiring reliable sealing for high-volume water or air tests.
  • Industrial Pipeline Maintenance: A trusted solution for factories and processing plants needing to isolate pipe sections for routine inspections.
  • Construction & Commissioning: Used to validate the integrity of newly installed medium-diameter pipelines before they are put into service.

Plugline Inflatable Medium Pipe Test Plugs offer the perfect balance of strength and maneuverability, providing a professional-grade solution for the secure testing and maintenance of modern pipeline systems.

Recommended deployment procedure

Plugline Inflatable Pipe Stoppers are used for sealing, blocking and pressure testing pipework. Follow the procedure below for safe installation and removal.

01
Inspect

Verify each stopper for surface defects. Confirm reference matches purchase order. Pre-test in a clean environment to nominal 0.5 bar.

02
Position

Insert deflated. Place at least two pipe-diameters inside the bore. Secure the connector hose to the inflation valve.

03
Inflate

Inflate to nominal pressure indicated on the datasheet. Hold for 60 seconds and verify seal under audible test.

04
Test

Perform line test per EN 1610 or local code. Record drop, hold time, ambient temperature.

05
Recover

Deflate fully before withdrawal. Inspect for damage. Stopper may be reused for up to 200 cycles under nominal conditions.
